 Kemira Progusta SD

Kemira's food grade sodium diacetate is used as an acidity regulator and acidifier. It is an excellent product to ensure food safety and to achieve shelf life extension by inhibiting the growth of mold and bacteria. Furthermore, sodium diacetate can be used to impart a vinegar flavour to certain snack foods and seasonings. The product is available in 3 granulations; crystal, powder and fine powder. Each has its own specific physical properties, developed to meet customer needs in various applications.

• Kemira Progusta SD2 (sodium diaceate powder) is applied where a fine but non-dusty product is preferred. This is often the case when bags are manually emptied and airborne dust should be avoided. Powder is recommended for blending facilites and bakeries.

Kemira Progusta SD3 (sodium diacetate crystal) is used in applications where particle size is not a critical requirement. Due to its excellent dispersability and flowability this grade is recommended in liquid applications such as brines, marinades and lactate blends.

• Kemira Progusta SD5 (sodium diacetate fine powder) is developed for the flavour industry where fine granulation is required to achieve an immediate taste effect.

All granulations are produced accordin to EU, FCC, and JECFA specifications on a production line that is suitable for food products
